JAY — The Board of Selectmen changed its name to Board of Selectpersons when the five-member board voted unanimously June 24 to adopt amended bylaws for the board.
The bylaws outline how the board will run its meetings.
Board members will be called selectpersons rather than selectmen to make it gender neutral. Also, officers’s titles have gone from chairman to chair and vice chairman to vice chair under the bylaws.
