AUBURN — A July 3 concert featuring patriotic music will be offered by the Auburn Community Band as part of its free summer concert series.
The Wednesday night lineup will include several marches, the national anthem, “Stars and Stripes Forever,” “America the Beautiful,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “God Bless the U.S.A.” and an “American Tribute” medley, according to conductor Milt Simon.
The band will also salute the armed forces by performing the theme song from each branch. It will also perform some pop favorites, including songs dating back to the 1940s to a medley of Neil Diamond hits.
The concert will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at Festival Plaza. In case of rain, the concert will be held inside the ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The recent June 19 opening night concert broke an attendance record for any opening night with more than 340 people attending, Simon said. He’s expecting more than 400 people to attend Wednesday night.
