Where have all the Maine Republicans gone? They gave me pause to switch to the Libertarian Party a while ago.

With their vote to override the governor’s veto of the state budget, the Republicans have mortgaged each and every Mainer to higher taxes and fewer jobs in the foreseeable future.

There is no difference now between the Republican Party and the Democrats. The state has to allow another party to differentiate between the established two and a conservative point of view.

Compromise during the past years has pushed this state to be the 38th poorest state with the fifth highest taxes.

All towns can cut some of their services but, being built with government handouts, are reluctant to do so. As long as the state or federal governments keep handing it out, there will never be a lower tax rate or smaller government.
