Reservations required for AARP meal

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet at noon Monday, July 8, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street.

The business meeting will follow lunch, which includes ham and cheese quiche with a fruit platter. Cost is $6.50. Reservations are needed by Friday, July 5. Call Ruth at 744-9069.

Members are reminded to bring donations for the food pantry. Money is also needed for the August outing on the Songo Queen.

The community service project will be to help downtown Norway with the scrapbooking project. Members should bring scissors.

Yard sale to include hot dog lunch

BUCKFIELD — A yard sale and lunch, including steamed hot dogs and strawberry shortcake, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at the American Legion Hall, Morrill Street, Route 140.

Proceeds will benefits projects of the Legion and Auxiliary.

Supper, dance at Locke Mills Legion

LOCKE MILLS — A supper dance will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the American Legion Hall. Music will be provided by the Jones Band. Doors will open at 4 p.m.

Menu will include ham, salads, breads and strawberry shortcake. Cost is adults $8, children $3.50, dance and supper $10.

Tables available for rent at yard sale

HARRISON — Ronald St. John Post 176, VFW, Waterford Road, will have a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 6.

Those wishing may rent a table for $10, or the post is accepting donations of articles to sell to benefit the building fund. For information, call Cecil at 557-2621.

Potluck supper at Congregational Church

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have a Community Potluck Supper for its July 6 1st Saturday Supper. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share or make a donation, if possible, or help with clean-up. The meal is at 5:30 p.m.
