AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library has announced the teen calendar for July.

SACC Movie Monday will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. July 15 and 29 in the Androscoggin Community Room. Representatives from the Sexual Assault Crisis Center show a movie and discuss the issues. Movies are “Philadelphia,” sexual harassment, and “Cyber Bully,” Internet safety and bullying. There will be snacks and give aways.

The Teen Anime Club will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Grades 7-12 (ages 13 to 18) are invited to drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch a selection of anime and try a hand at drawing characters.

Teen Gaming Hour will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, July 8, in the Androscoggin Community Room. There are XBox and Wii (only games rated teen and younger) and snacks. It is for teens grades 7 to 12 (ages 13 to 18).

Middle School DIY Takeover Tuesday will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. July 9 in the Teen Space. Seventh- and eighth-graders will make duct tape belts. Preregistration is requested. Call 333-6640, ext. 4.

Photoshop 102 with Mike Jordan will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, in the Androscoggin Community Room As part of the Summer Reading Program, local artist Mike Jordan will return to APL for the second half of his Photoshop tour.

This time, the workshop will cover the basics of Adobe Photoshop (one of the programs offered in the Create! Media Lab) as they are applied to digital photography. There will be another door prize, and participants are encouraged to bring in an original digital photo prior to the program for possible use in the workshop. Safe Voices will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, July 11 and 25, in the Teen Space. Amanda from Safe Voices will discuss relationships and work on projects with teens ages 13 to 18.

DIY Teens! TAKEOVER will meet in the Teen Space from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. This month they will go outside to clean up the library “campus.” Afterward, they will go back to the Teen Space, talk about the environment and have ice cream.

Teen Open Mic Night is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, in the Androscoggin Community Room for ages 13 to 18.

DIY Teens! Media Club will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the CREATE! Media Lab. Teens in grades 7 to 12 may join the new club.

Teen Space TAKEOVER will meet again from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the Teen Space, where they will play games, including a Takaradi tournament (think Jenga). There will be a drawing for a Takaradi game.

CREATE! Media Lab Teen Digital Media Festival will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in the Androscoggin Community Room. The 2013 Summer Reading Program will end with the festival.

Stop by the library to pick up the rules and entry form. Entries are due Thursday, Aug. 1. Prizes include $100, a point and shoot digital camera and a $25 gift card.
