ROXBURY — The Silver Lake Camp Owners Association will hold its annual used book sale and pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. July 6 at the St. Mary’s Chapel parking lot
The annual association business meeting is set for 10 a.m.
According to Sylvia Wendt, a volunteer with the association, the group tries to hold a sale prior to their annual business meeting to “entice residents to attend the business meetings.”
“Anybody can come to our business meetings,” Wendt said. “Only members can vote on issues, but the public is welcome to attend and join. They can even become members after, if they wish.”
Wendt said the pancakes will be cooked by members of the association and proceeds will go toward association activities.
“We have different things going on throughout the year that we use the money for,” Wendt said. “All proceeds from the sale will go toward helping us with the campground and the lake.”
Anyone wishing to donate used books, videos or DVDs may leave them at 18 Marchand Lane. For more information, call Wendt at 364-2642.
