MACHIAS — Authorities say a 19-year-old man has died in a pickup crash in Big Lake Township in Maine.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office says Ray Sockabasin of Indian Township lost control of the vehicle at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday while traveling north on West Street.

The pickup struck several trees before rolling onto its roof and pinning Sockabasin to the ground under the vehicle. He died at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle.
