FARMINGTON — Motor Madness will roll into the Farmington Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 27.

Western Maine Street Rods will host the event that will include a car coral of about 65 new and used cars, many that people will be able to buy. It could be possible someone could drive away with a new car, an organizer, Mike Pond of Strong, said.

A major partner in the event is Bangor Savings Bank. It and several other sponsors are pitching in to help make the event a major attraction for the Farmington area, he said.

Among the events are tractor and truck pulls, a car and bike show, and music.

Antique tractors, car vendors, food vendors and more will be on hand, he said.

The gates open at 7 a.m. to register cars and bikes for that show, which will begin at 8 a.m.

“We’re trying to make it a big event” and to promote the area and what it has to offer, Pond said.

Admission is $10 for ages 12 and over. Children under 12 get in free.
