LEWISTON — Kevin Lewis, CEO of Maine Community Health Options, recently announced that Matthew Sanfacon has joined the organization as credentialing coordinator.

MCHO is a nonprofit organization that will provide affordable health insurance to Maine people and small businesses beginning in January 2014.

In his new role, Sanfacon will work with the manager of credentialing in all aspects of the MCHO credentialing program. He will work to ensure a smooth application process and maintain provider information.

Prior to joining MCHO, he spent eight years working as an administrator for the Roman Catholic Diocese in Portland. He has also worked for various political campaigns, the Maine Senate, and was a candidate for the Maine House of Representatives.

He is a native of Caribou, and currently lives in Augusta. He is continuing his education at the University of Maine.
