PORTLAND (AP) — Postage stamps featuring five New England lighthouses are now on sale.

The stamps feature Maine’s oldest lighthouse, the Portland Head Light, which was established in 1791, along with the nation’s oldest, the Boston Harbor Light, Portsmouth Harbor Light in New Hampshire, Point Judith Lighthouse in Rhode Island and New London Harbor Light in Connecticut.

The New England Coastal Lighthouses Forever series went on sale Saturday.

Howard Koslow, an artist based in Toms River, N.J., was commissioned by the Postal Service to paint each of the lighthouses.
