1929 – 2013

AUBURN — Murielle L. Longtin, 84, died July 14, at Clover Manor, where she resided for the past year.

She was born June 25, 1929, in Brunswick, The daughter of the late Emile and Marguerite (Devin) Bergeron.

She worked in various roles in life, although she excelled as a seamstress, where she was able to increase the quality of life of various patients at Bangor Mental Health Institute in Bangor, while also assisting nonprofit organizations with special projects.

Murielle was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church. She always believed her greatest achievement in life was raising her 14 children. Her passion was family. She was happiest when her home was filled with people, babies and laughter.

She is survived by her children, Russell Longtin of Johnson, Vt., Linda Hill and husband, Robert, of Stratham, N.H., Raymond and wife, Noella, of Poland, Janet Morin of Lewiston, Joline Sheehy and husband, Paul, of Brewer, Debra Plourde of Auburn, Brenda Longtin of Jackman, Richard and life partner, Denis, of Scarborough, Robert and wife, Melinda, of South Berwick, Peggy Wilbur and husband, Scott, of Greene, Helen Thibodeau and husband, Rick, of Greene, Randy and wife, Darlene, of Orrington, Christine Longtin and life partner, Leta, of Brewer, Carlene West and husband, Bill, of Orrington; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thaddee “Ted” Longtin; two sons-in-law, Marc Morin and Richard Plourde; and two sisters and one brother.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Clover Manor for the excellent care given to our mom.
