1957 – 2013
LEWISTON — Frances Huntington Gowell, 55, born in Augusta and raised in Litchfield, but recently a resident of Lisbon, died peacefully Tuesday evening at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a short illness, with her family by her side.
She was born in Augusta on July 20, 1957, the daughter of Paul and Jeanette Huntington. She was educated at Monmouth Academy.
Frances had three children she absolutely adored: Tanya, Kevin and Jessica. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and family more than anything. Franny was such a genuine person with a heart of gold; no matter what life threw her way, she smiled and joked her way through it.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Gowell Jr., her two daughters, Jessica Gowell and Tanya Ouellette; three grandchildren, Samantha Ouellette, Bradley and Bella Gowell; two brothers, Paul and Maurice Huntington; and niece and nephew, Michael and Tessie Huntington.
She was predeceased by her brother, Wallace Huntington.
