LEWISTON — From 5-9 p.m. Friday, July 26, Art Walk Lewiston Auburn will take place on downtown Lisbon Street. As part of the event, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. a picnic-type meal gathering known as Diner en Blanc will be held at Dufresne Plaza, adjacent to 84 Lisbon St. followed at 6 and 7 p.m., by flash performances of Come, and Back Again, part of the Bates Dance Festival.
Diner en Blanc first took place 25 years ago in Paris, setting a legacy that has reached worldwide acclaim. The original event was an elegant outdoor dinner picnic where attendees dressed to impress in white.
Rain site for these two events will be Callahan Hall in Lewiston Public Library.
Forage Market will be selling baskets loaded with picnic favorites.
At 8 p.m., Phil Yates & The Affiliates will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries, 115 Middle Street.
Local artists will display their works at local businesses and galleries all along Lisbon Street.
Top the night off with a raffle of amazing cakes from the Cake as Art Exhibit in Cooney Gallery, 219 Lisbon Street.
