FARMINGTON — Lydia “Tootie” Hines, 85, a resident of Farmington, passed away Sunday, July 21 at Edgewood Manor.

She was born March 22, 1928, in Rumford, the daughter of Leroy Jordan and Bessie (Spofford) Jordan. She attended school in Rumford. Lydia worked at Bass Shoe Shop and retired in 1989.

She was a member of the Snowshoe Club of Rumford, enjoyed playing Bingo, but especially loved time spent with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Nichols and her husband, Dennis, of Fayette; three sons, Richard Arsenault and his wife, Marilyn, of Everett, Wash., Gary Arsenault and his wife, Lucy, of Exeter, N.H., and John Healy and his wife, Kathy, of Raymond, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Ken Jordan of Livermore; sister, Hazel Applebee of Levittown, Pa.; half brother, Robert Jordan and his wife, Tammy, of Florida, and half sister, Ethel Scott and her husband, Robert, of Waterford.

She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Bessie and Irving Churchill; father and stepmother, Leroy and Marion Jordan; two sisters, Viola Robichaud and Doris Moro; and she had recently lost her granddaughter, Tracy Nichols.
