RICHMOND (AP) — Federal authorities have been informed after two members of a construction crew were hospitalized after falling off ladders while working on a garage in Richmond.
Police Chief Scott MacMaster said the men suffered serious injuries after falling 20 to 25 feet to the ground while hanging Tyvek house wrap on the side of a two-story garage on Monday morning. He said it appears one man lost his balance and pulled the other to the ground, or a wind gust may have caught the wrap.
David Tremblay of Leeds suffered more serious injuries and was flown to a Lewiston hospital. Trent Labreque of Vassalboro was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
MacMaster said the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called following the accident.
