The experience of the members of the newly formed band Watermelon Wine adds up to 151 years. This country-classic-rock trio features Billy Scott on fiddle and guitar, Bobby Hodgkins on bass guitar, and Naomi Patrie on percussion. The three will play an ambitious variety of covers from Charlie Daniels, The Beatles, George Strait, and Herman’s Hermits.
Scott, 72, picked up a fiddle when he was 10 years old. He has been a part of the Western Maine music scene for over six decades.
Also, Colin Merrill who recently won the Mountain Valley High School Talent Contest with his rendition of Brantley Gilbert’s “My Kinda Crazy” will perform.
There is no admission fee, but donations for the artists and performers will be accepted. For more information, visit www.49franklin.com, email [email protected], or call 207-369-0129.
