AUBURN — Carol A. Stowell, 72, of Woodstock died Tuesday, July 23 at the Hospice House.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 7, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Kathleen Bell McKelvey. She married Joseph Stowell on Feb. 16, 1957 and worked locally at Ledgeview Living Center as a cook and at Perham’s Maine Mineral Store.

She was a member of Willing Workers. She enjoyed hiking, reading and she loved rock and roll music.

She is survived by her husband of Woodstock; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Kleva and husband, James; a sister, Kaye Tiller; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Ward Stowell II.
