PORTLAND — Patricia A. Bean, “Pat,” 62, of Farmington, and Spring Hill, Fla., passed away Tuesday July 23, at Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 5, 1951, in Farmington, the oldest child of Merwin and Jean (Amburg) Bean. She was a graduate of Farmington High School and continued her education at Thomas College, Waterville, where she earned a degree in business administration.

Pat was retired from a successful career with Farmers Home Administration. After early retirement, she enjoyed being a snowbird between Spring Hill, Fla., and Canton. She enjoyed travel, spending time with family at camp and was an avid movie goer; Superman was her hero.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Bean of Canton and Spring Hill, Fla.: sisters, Deborah J. Hoar and her husband, Dennis, of Damascus, Md., Julie M. Shible and her husband, Stephen, of Farmington and Susan B. Brown and her husband, Robert, of Portland; brother, Douglas E. Bean and his wife, Susan, of Londonderry, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Merwin Bean; and niece, Jamie Shible, with whom she is blessed to be reunited.
