PERU — The Worthley Pond Association celebrates its annual Christmas in July this weekend.
The area around the pond will be ablaze with lights and displays. Christmas music will be played. On the water, people are expected to circle the pond in well-lit decorated boats.
The Worthley Pond Store, located at the Honey Run Beach and Campground, will be open Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the public to buy clothing, glassware, towels and other souvenirs.
Judges will select the best-decorated boat and cottage.
