LEWISTON — Charlotte D. Doucette, 83, a resident of Pettingill Street, died Wednesday, July 24, at her home following a long illness.
She was born in Waterville on Sept. 9, 1929, the daughter of Francis and Gertrude (Jolicoeur) Berard.
She was a 1945 graduate of Waterville High School, and following her education married Antonio Doucette on June 16, 1951.
Charlotte was a full-time working mom, who balanced her responsibilities as a mother and working full-time as an office manager.
She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. She was also a former parish council member of Saints Peter and Paul and a school board member of St. Peter’s School in Lewiston.
Survivors include Stephen and Judy of Lewiston; Douglas and companion, Diane, of Lewiston; Richard and Robert, both of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Cathleen and husband, Ricardo Palmier, of Portland, Ore.; Arthur Berard and wife, Jeanne, of Waterville; Gertrude Gagnon of Waterville; Honorine Lafreniere of Auburn; Beatrice Poulin and Germaine Berard, both of Waterville; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Andrew and Robert Doucette Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Riley Kuietauskas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio, on July 24, 2000.
