RUMFORD — There will be a benefit spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Rumford Eagles Hall, followed by a DJ dance from 8 p.m. until midnight, for Arthur “Buddy” Gallant, who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
Family and friends are calling on his extended friendships throughout the River Valley to help defray the costs of expenses incurred with travel to his treatments and mounting medical bills.
The benefit will consist of a spaghetti dinner, including meatballs, salad, garlic bread and dessert. The cost is $5 per person; cost of the dance is $10 per person.
There will also be a raffle for a $500 grand prize. Tickets are being sold now until Aug. 3; cost is $1.
Organizers also plan to to have a 50/50 raffle the night of the benefit, along with a Chinese auction. Some of those items are a 22” flat-screen television, a remote starter (installed), furnace cleaning, and other unique items with values up to $350.
Tickets for the dance will be available at the door or in advance by calling Jan at 364-8368 or Cory at 357-1759.
