NORWAY — Community Safety Days, presented by Oxford Hills Fire Prevention and Safety, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Norway Fire Station, Danforth Street.
Coffee, cold drinks hot dogs, pizza, chips and desserts will be provided at no cost to all who attend.
Local fire departments, rescue and police will offer specific activities of their own choice.
There may be a live fire display, with firefighters going into Waterford’s burn trailer, showing the dangers of firefighting.
A Christmas tree burn will help educate on the dangers of having a live tree in the home.
A rope rescue by Mechanic Falls and Oxford Fire Departments will also be held.
Auto extrication will be done by Greenwood Fire Department.
Area businesses have donated multiple door prizes that will be given out every hour.
The event is hosted by Norway Fire Department and Norway Fireman’s Relief.
