WINDHAM (AP) — A police car is in need of repair in Maine after a utility pole fell onto its roof.
Windham police said a tractor-trailer was traveling on Route 302 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when it snagged an overhead steel wire, breaking two utility poles. One of the poles landed on the roof of a 2013 police utility vehicle that was exiting a parking lot at the time.
Police said no other vehicles were involved and nobody was injured.
Two lanes of the heavily traveled road were shut down for an hour as police investigated and crews removed debris from the roadway.
No charged are expected.
