BOSTON, Mass. — Joanne Lois Grant, 61, of Greenbrier Terrace Care Facility in Nashua, N.H., died Sunday, July 28, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 19, 1951, the only daughter of Joseph O. and Lois Staples Grant. Both parents preceded her in death.

Joanne was reared on the Allard Farm in Hadley, Mass., where she attended Hadley public schools. She also attended and graduated from Littleton High School in Littleton, Mass. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Keene State College in Keene, N.H.

Joanne is survived by five brothers who love her very much, Earle and fiancée, Ruth, of Manchester, N.H., Warren and wife, Rita, of La Belle Fla., Sheldon and wife, Linda, of Littleton, Mass., Joseph W. of Hudson, N.H., and John and friend, Sandy, of Port Orange, Fla. She also has many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and one great-niece.
