PORTLAND — The Susan L. Curtis Charitable Foundation, which operates Camp Susan Curtis in Stoneham, received an $8,100 grant this year from the Live, Learn and Thrive program of The P&G Cincinnati Fund, affiliated with Tambrands, Inc. of Auburn, a Procter & Gamble company.

The grant will sponsor  seven low-income boys and girls from Auburn at CSC this summer.

Each year, through gifts and donations, CSC provides tuition-free programs for about 500 economically disadvantaged children ages 8 to 17 from across Maine. Twenty children from Auburn are currently registered for programs and 60 Androscoggin County children are enrolled this summer.
