LIVERMORE — The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center is a venue for the Crossroads International Celtic Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14. Against a backdrop of 445 acres of rolling fields and woodlands, history and music for all ages will fill the autumn air.

Afternoon activities from 1-5 p.m. with $5 admission fee include a pie sale, concert by folk singer Bill Berlinghoff, a Victorian fashion show, and tours of the elegant 1867 Washburn family mansion.

In the evening, a corned beef dinner will be served in the historic farmer’s cottage from 5-6:30 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $12 and includes all of the afternoon activities. However, dinner tickets must have been purchased by Friday, Sept. 6.

The day concludes with a 7 p.m. concert in the meeting house featuring Northfield, Edith & Bennett, and The Gawler Family. Tickets are $15 for the concert and must be purchased separately online at http://crossroadscelticfestival.com/shows/step-into-the-past or at the door, available one hour before show time, cash or check only.

The mansion will be closed for tours during the afternoon concert and fashion show.

Activities take place rain or shine. In case of cold or damp weather, the afternoon concert will be moved into the meeting house. All of this takes place at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road. For more information, visit www.norlands.org or call 207-897-4366.
