LEWISTON — The law firm of Thomas P. Peters II and Associates, 937 Main St., announces the hiring of attorney Michael Maines, Esq.

Maines is a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono and holds a bachelor of science degree in forest management. He also earned a master of forestry degree and, in 2012, received his juris doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law.

Maines is a licensed professional forester as well as a Maine licensed first-class landscape arborist. He is also a certified logging professional.

He will focus his law practice in the area of estate planning for families and forestland assets, family forestry LLCs, abandoned and discontinued roads, conservation easements, forestry machinery and logging operation issues as well as other legal matters dealing with the forest industry.

He lives in Gray with his wife and their two children.
