At an earlier time, 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 13, the ongoing Music for Mavis concert series at the Turner community gazebo will host

. Band members include Dr. Becky Law and Carolyn Viger from Turner, Diane Rines from Greene, Kelly Burke from Freeport, Holly Bowman from Gardiner, and Jeanne Roublier from Harrison. Bring a chair, blanket and snack. Donations are accepted. The gazebo is on Rt. 117 across from the Turner Public Library. The Tuesday music evenings happen rain or shine and are held at the church across the street in case of rain.
