LEWISTON — Dogs have been moved from the backyard doghouses to our beds, couches and the best dog beds L.L. Bean sells — wherever our four-legged “children” want to sleep.

Tia LeBlond of Lewiston sent in a photo of her family’s dog, Buddy the Labradoodle, 2 years old, with their baby boy, Kacen, now almost seven months old. LeBlond reports that Buddy is very energetic and loves people, especially the newest addition of their family.
Reese Farrell of Auburn with his goldendoodle, Easton, named after Reese’s hockey stick. Like a lot of households, Easton is much-loved member of the family.
Ron Farris and Alan Cloutier have had a “daug” (part dachshund, part pug) they named Bella since visiting the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in 2009.
