NEW ALBANY, Miss. — Earl Van Zile Sr., 81, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1931 in Butler, N.J., to the late Norman and Gussie (Miller) Van Zile. He was a stone and brick mason by profession. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Van Zile Jr. (Lisa) of New Jersey and Greg Van Zile (Susan) of New Albany, Miss.; and three grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Van Zile of New Albany, Miss., and Mason Van Zile of New Jersey.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edith Kalinoski Van Zile.
