LEWISTON — Ermioni “Minnie” Moskovis, 83, formerly of 261 Webster St., Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Marshwood Nursing Home.
Born in Myrsini, Greece, on Oct. 21, 1929, she was the daughter of Ilias and Stasini (Patrikarakou) Polimenakos. She married Peter J. Moskovis of Lewiston on July 9, 1957. Mr. Moskovis passed away in 1997.
A great cook, she was a constant fixture at Pete’s Lunch, the restaurant she and her husband owned and operated in Lewiston for many years. A beloved mother and grandmother, Minnie was also active in the local Greek community, especially through Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Greek Ladies Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Penny and husband, John Caracandas, of Glenmont, N.Y.; a brother, Dino Polimenakos of Marshfield, Mass.; and a granddaughter, Emily.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Voula.
