Shirley and Maurice

Mailloux

LEEDS — Maurice and Shirley Mailloux of Leeds recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The gathering was given by their daughter and son-in-law, Mark and Diane Cherilla Sr., and was held at Marco’s Restaurant where a dinner party was held.

Decorations were in pink and white with centerpieces of pink and white roses, baby’s breath, pearls and rhinestones. The candle holders were decorated with pink and white roses and rhinestones on each table.

Their granddaughter, Kathryn Nadeau made each guest a crystal swan with candy wrapped in white netting with pink roses, pearls and white bow. A crystal basket was decorated with white and pink roses to hold the gift cards.

Each guest received a white rose with greenery and baby’s breath. Mr. Mailloux wore a pink rose boutonniere with baby’s breath and Mrs. Mailloux wore a corsage of white roses, pink carnations, baby’s breath and a white bow. Balloons of white pearls and pink hearts were seen throughout the room.

The cake was a two-tier cake with stairs coming down to two other cakes decorated in pink and white roses and crystals and rhinestones, with ivy coming down on pillars. A bride and bridegroom was featured with doll bridesmaids and ushers coming down the stairs, with roses, bows and rhinestones. Daughter Diane Cherilla made the cake and flower arrangements.

After the party, a few guests joined the couple at the home of their daughter and son-in-law to continue the celebration, with music and a buffet.

Mr. Mailloux also celebrated his 82nd birthday at that time. He received a birthday cake with white frosting and blue trim. The couple received many gifts and best wishes.
