PHILLIPS — Wonderland will return for its eighth season on Friday, Aug. 16, amid the celebration of Phillips Old Home Days.
Sponsored by Dr. Susy Sanders of Phillips, the children’s festival gives away decorated faerie wings, handmade halo crowns, handpainted magic wands, pirate hats and other costumes, well as sno-cones, popcorn and prizes that include school supplies.
Professional artists will be on hand to paint faerie and pirate faces and a seasoned maker of faerie houses will have a booth where children can create their own.
A tour of Faerie Alley will end with a visit to the Faerie Queen and Pirates Cove where children can dig for chocolate coins.
The event will go from 1 to 6 p.m.
Children have traveled as far as California, Manhattan, Portland, Augusta, Lewiston-Auburn and other places to attend. For more information, contact Dr. Sanders at Morning Bridge Center, 639-2419.
