Yard sale to benefit firefighters

TEMPLE —  A yard sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 and 25, at 5 Iisalo Road. Proceeds will benefit the Temple Fire Department.

Library to celebrate 60th anniversary

FAYETTE —  Underwood Memorial Library will hold an open house celebration in honor of its 60th anniversary from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Residents are invited to visit and share memories and refreshments.

At 6 p.m. staff will dedicate the Maine section of the library in memory of Suzanne Rich. The trustees will present certificates and awards.

Tyngtown Tee Time a club fundraiser

WILTON —  The Tyngtown Tee Time will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Wilson Lake Country Club. Tee time will be at 8 a.m.

Lunch will be held from noon to 2 p.m., and those who would like to attend with family should call Trish at 645-4443. A gourmet lunch is planned and several Tyngtown Club members will be cooking that day.

There will be live music and a raffle, and putting contest will be open for all.
