OF LOCAL INTEREST — A finer lot of horses has not been seen in Lewiston and Auburn in a long time than the carload of 18 acclimated animals shipped Thursday night to Aroostook county by Charles D. Hasty of Auburn. The horses were all fine big animals and attracted much attention as they were being taken to the train.
William B. Clothey, Fred B. Clothey, John H. Clothey, Linwood B. Timberlake and William R. Ludden, five little Auburn boys, stamped out a fire near the Advent camp grounds, Mechanic Falls, which might have grown into a forest fore and burned all the wood in that vicinity. The fire was probably set by a locomotive.

Goudreau. The current tower plan amounts to a watered down version of original discussions that include removal of sections of all four towers for safety purposes.
