LEWISTON — Mary Blanchard, 94, a resident of Sarah Frye Home in Auburn, died peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Sunday, Aug. 18. Before moving to Auburn, Mary lived in Chelsea for many years.

Mary was born in Augusta to Ivan and Thelma Doe, and attended schools in Augusta. She married Linwood Blanchard and together they raised five children.

She enjoyed crafts, shopping and being with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Norman (Lois) and Wayne; her daughter, Linda Bowie (Neal); her sister, Georgie Strout (Bob); as well as a niece, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Linwood; sons, Walter (Beau) and James (Jim); and her sisters, Irene, Gracie and Lena.
