Homestead Bakery Manager Laurie Danforth and Farmington Rotary President Tom Sawyer hope to tempt Western Mainers with a preview of what lies ahead at the Lac-Mégantic Benefit Dinner, planned for Sunday, Aug. 25, at the bakery in Farmington. The pasta dinner will include freshly made sauces and breads. The fundraiser is being organized by the Farmington Rotary Club. There will be two seatings, 5 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 a person, $10 for 12 and younger, and are available at Franklin Savings Bank Loan Center, the Homestead Restaurant or from Farmington Rotary Club members. All proceeds will benefit Lac Mégantic via Rotary Foundation.
