RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen L. Pelletier of Rumford was celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford with Fr. Greg Dube as the celebrant.
Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections included “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Fly Like A Bird.”
The Old Testament reading was proclaimed by a grandson Michael Pelletier and the New Testament reading was proclaimed by a granddaughter Ashley Thibault. Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Nicole Burgess. Words of remembrance were given by Julie and Nicole Burgess and Kristen Lewis-King. Presenting gifts to the altar were Helen’s children, Paul Pelletier, Georgette Hodgson, Lorraine Milligan, Kathleen Voter, Roland Pelletier and Margaret Hardy. Pallbearers were Matthew Hodgson, Joseph Hardy, Scott Voter, Michael Pelletier, Patrick Milligan and T.J. Burgess.
A reception was held in the church hall after the funeral Mass. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
