LIMERICK — Deputies say a 13-year-old boy in Maine who was given permission to use a pickup truck to haul trash down a private driveway ended up pinning his mother and brother against their house.
The York County Sheriff’s Department says the boy’s foot apparently slipped off the clutch while backing up Thursday morning, causing the pickup to lurch backward, pinning 37-year-old Molly Mooers and the boy’s 10-year-old brother.
Deputies say Mooers suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries and the younger boy suffered leg injuries, as well.
Both were transported to a hospital with injuries that weren’t considered to be life-threatening.
