LEWISTON — Gerald A. Guay, 82, of Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug. 22, in Lewiston.
He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 24, 1930, the son of Albert and Elise St. Pierre Guay. In 1950, he married Cecile Bourgea and together they raised their family in Lewiston. Gerald retired from the state as a boiler operator in 1995.
Gerald enjoyed bowling and watching animal shows on TV, and spending time with his dog, Moxy, and his cat, TT.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Cecile; his son, Raymond and wife, Linda, of Lisbon Falls; a daughter, Lorraine Merrick of Nobleboro; a brother, Richard and wife, Terry, of Lewiston; a brother-in-law, Roland Pleau of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Maureen, Kathy, Zack and Brandon; and two great-grandchildren, Jake and Rivers.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Normand and Raymond; three sisters, Yolande and husband, Thomas Sawyer, Muriel Pleau and Bernice and husband, Marcel Bissonnette; and a son-in-law, Asa Merrick.
