Coon dogs ride in the back of a pickup during the 37th annual New England Trappers Weekend in Bethel on Saturday. The three-day event, hosted by trapper Neil Olson, featured seminars, vendors, kid’s events and coon dog trials. People from all over New England and New York attended the event that was held in memory of Josh Wardwell, a 17-year-old student at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School who died while checking beaver traps in December after falling through thin ice.
