RUMFORD — Adam R. Cormier, 18, of Rumford was arrested Sunday night by Det. Sgt. James Bernard on a charge of Class C criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
A female called 911, reporting that while in front of her residence on Cumberland Street with her child and boyfriend, Cormier drove up and pointed a black pistol toward her boyfriend. The complainant stated her boyfriend crouched down and Cormier fled in his vehicle.
Sgt. Bernard located Cormier at his residence, where he recovered a black Smith & Wesson M&P 40 .177-caliber BB gun out of Cormier’s vehicle.
Statements were taken from the female complainant, the victim of the threat and also a witness that observed Cormier point the gun.
Cormier is scheduled to appear in the Oxford County Superior Court on October 18.
