VIENNA — Five intern dancers from Camp Bearnstow on Parker Pond in Mt. Vernon will be performing for the public at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the Vienna Union Hall. The program will be directed by camp founder and owner Ruth Grauert.

Bearnstow’s intern program is designed to give selected young dancers a summer surrounded by dance and to give Bearnstow a cadre of capable assistants. While the basic job is housing maintenance and KP, interns have designed programs and promotional material, conducted research, composed sound scores, choreographed their own works, and created dance videos. The artistic calibre of the interns speaks well not only for the institutions from which they come but also for the Bearnstow image of the renaissance dancer.

Vienna Union Hall is at 5 Vienna Mountain Road. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
