WEST PARIS — Cynthia J. Scott, 69, passed away peacefully at home due to a short illness on Friday, Aug. 23, surrounded by family.
She was born in West Paris on Dec. 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Windsor and Evelyn Abbott. She was married to Carroll “Sid” Scott in 1962. She lived all of her life in West Paris.
She enjoyed time at camp, working outdoors at home, woodworking, beano, casinos, playing poker with friends and working with the girls at Cooper’s Farms. She cherished time with her dog, Buddy. She worked many places, such as the Tannery, C.N. Brown and Cooper’s Farms.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Curtis and husband, Kenny, of Greenwood; grandson, Zac Massat of Greenwood; granddaughter, Nikki Massat and fiancé, Mike Houghton, of Lewiston; great-granddaughter, Annabell Rand of Lewiston, who she adored; a sister, Gloria Hicks of West Paris; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sid; son, Timothy; and brothers, Lloyd and Bruce Abbott.
