1921 – 2013

FREEPORT — Gracienne Guerin Sennett, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Freeport Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Freeport.

She was born in Lewiston on April 10, 1921, one of three children to Marion and Israel Guerin.

As a young woman, she worked at Bath Iron Works as a welder, doing her part in the effort for World War II and when the men returned, she worked as a fancy stitcher in the Auburn shoe factories. She was a great cook, seamstress and caregiver, and will be missed by all those who knew her.

She was married to Lincoln Sennett for 60 years, who died in 2005, and is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kosalka; son, Robert Sennett; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
