KINGFIELD — The Mt. Abram Regional Health Center, 25 Depot St., has been certified as a level-two patient-centered medical home, a widely recognized symbol of quality that is earned only by successfully passing a rigorous and thorough review.

The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home 2011 program reflects the input of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Osteopathic Association and others in extension of the Physician Practice Connections Program.

Carolyn Tranten, Mt. Abram Regional Health Center practice manager, recognized the importance of receiving level-two recognition and said the center has a goal of achieving level-three, which is the highest level, by early 2014.

The Mt. Abram center is structured for more personalized, coordinated, effective and efficient care. For more information, call 265-4555 or go to: www.MtAbramCHC.org.
