1930 – 2013
AUBURN — Edward B. Robinson, 83, of Davis Street in Lisbon Falls, died Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, with his loving family at his side.
Edward was born in Lewiston on Aug. 23, 1930, a son of the late Omer and Dorothy (Buckley) Robinson Sr. Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean conflict.
He married the love of his life, the former Louise Herrick, on Oct. 9, 1952. She predeceased him a day before their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8, 2012.
Edward worked for most of his life as a construction worker, retiring from S.E. McMillan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycles and watching his cowboy shows.
He leaves his two daughters, Jean Larochelle and husband, Marcel, of Durham, and Heather Baker and her husband, Charlie, of Turner; three sons, Michael Robinson and wife, Gloria, of Shirley, Steven Robinson and wife, Vicky, of Bowdoin, and Brian Robinson and his companion, Sue Plourde, of Auburn; three sisters, Dorothy Baril of Auburn, Donna Libby of Andover and Gloria Ledbetter of Massachusetts; three brothers, John Robinson and wife, May, of Turner, Thomas Robinson and wife, Connie, of Auburn, and George Cobb and wife, Effie, of Massachusetts; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Lance; a granddaughter, Lynn; a brother, Omer Jr; and three sisters, June, Edith and Betty.
