OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will hold a potluck supper and program at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Oxford Congregational Church, 252 King St.

Dawn Brown of Second Chance Wildlife Inc. will give a presentation on the rehabilitation of bears at 7 p.m. She has been a wildlife rehabilitator since 1997.

The starving bear cub found and captured in Norway last December was rehabilitated and released to the wild by Brown’s program. The nature club hopes to learn more details of the rehabilitation of the cub and other recent cases, including the monitoring and follow-up actions.

All of the rehab work is accomplished through volunteers like Brown and her husband, Michael.

Donations to the Second Chance Wildlife Inc. go for food and necessities for the upkeep of the facilities for the rehab work.

Those attending the supper are asked to bring a dish to share.
