RUMFORD — Ida Ellen Davis, 86, died Monday, Sept. 2, at her home on Swain Road.
She was born in Upton on May 24, 1927, a daughter of Waldo and Pearl (Parks) Peaslee, and graduated from Andover High School.
Ida was a very active member of the Mexico First Baptist Church. She was married in Mexico on May 3, 1946, to Clinton E. Davis, who died in Rumford on Aug. 16, 1998.
Survivors include daughters, Ellen Hutchins and husband, Dwight, of Andover and Pearl Whitney and husband, Gary, of Rumford; sons, Ronald Davis and wife, Myea, of Alamogordo, N.M., Foster Davis and wife, Betty, of East Andover and Lloyd Davis and wife, Tammy, of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Beth Davis and companion, Mike Burke, of Auburn; sister, Ilean Guild of Livermore; brothers, Silas Foster Peaslee of North Yarmouth, Harold Peaslee and wife, Jesse, of Yelm, Wash., and Gregory John Peaslee of Andover; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by a son, Clinton Elmer Davis Jr.
