RICHMOND — State Commander John Hargreaves of Emerson and Lane Post 132, Richmond, has announced that National Commander Daniel M. Dellinger of Virginia will make his official visit to Maine on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 6, 7 and 8.

Dellinger will arrive in Portland on Friday. On Saturday, he will have breakfast at the Veterans Memorial Post 205 in Augusta before he travels to the Malcolm Glidden Post 163, Palermo, for a visit.

The national commander will go on to Alfred W. Maxwell Jr. Post 40, Winthrop, for lunch. Later he will visit the Decker-Simmons Post 51, Oakland. Saturday evening, a banquet in Dellinger’s honor will be held at the Emerson and Lane Post 132, Richmond.

The Sunday schedule has not yet been announced. He will leave Monday.
